Oregon Ranks in the middle of US for voter turnout and registration

by Rep. Bill Post

This article has good and bad news. With the absolute EASE of mail in ballots, I would think that Oregon would lead the nation in voter turnout. I know that there is talk of fraud and I’m not denying that this might be going on but the real story here is that folks still are NOT exercising their right, duty and privilege in voting.
This May 20th is the Oregon primary. Oregon has a closed primary (love it or hate it) which means if you are registered as a Democrat or a Republican you will receive a mail in ballot. There are many contested races in Oregon and though it is an "off election year" it is one of the most important in Oregon and US history. This year will set up 2016. If you are NOT registered to vote, there’s still time. You have until April 29. Go to www.billpost.us and click on the "Voter Info" button and you can register online now. PLEASE vote on May 20th and in November!
