Oregon IS Agriculture and we’d better Understand that

by Rep. Bill Post

My favorite quote from this Coos Bay newspaper article is: "The United States looks to Oregon when it wants blackberries, boysenberries, black raspberries and hazelnuts — because Oregon is the only state producing them on a commercial scale"

The world looks to Oregon for many crops. Though this article is mainly about coastal farming, I hope that the folks here in House District 25 understand how vital our agriculture is. We feed the world and we need to do whatever it takes to protect the farms and families that do the farming. We are NOT Portland and Eugene, we are a whole bunch of farming communities that make a state what it is.
